Our second Guatemala from high in the hills of La Libertad. The El Tesoro region contains its own micro-climate which produces coffees marked with deep sugary sweetness, crisp acidity, full body and floral characteristics not found in many other Guatemalan regions. El Coyolar is planted with several different varieties that are picked to strict cherry ripening regimes. The coffee is depulped the same day as picking and dry fermented for up to 24 hours. The coffee is washed and dried on concrete patios and closely monitored for moisture content. El Coyolar is typical of the quality expected from micro-lots of the El Tesoro region.

The coffee has a rich Muscovado sugary sweetness with flavours of fudge, toffee, roasted almond and dark spices.
